This is a recreation of an art piece created by Don Ivan Punchatz for Playboy in 1985. Some have done a version of this using the modern Morton’s Salt logo, but I had never seen an accurate one using the 1965 version of the logo, so here we are. When it rains, it pours.

Behind the Design
It occurred to me that some might think of this as a jab at Prince. Nothing could be further from the truth or intention. It's simply a recreation of a satirical art piece. Nothing more than that. Anyone who knows me even in passing knows that I'm a huge admirer of Prince and all that he did in his career. As the Musicology album is cranked up in the background, I'll tell you that I was aware of Prince at the age of five in 1980. By 1982 his music was part of my being.
